Living conditions in Cyprus is much more comfortable than Turkey due to many different reasons. Cyprus has become one of the oldest settlements where many civilizations have settled. the first people had lived on the island in 7000 B.C. It is thought that the inhabitants of the island settled near the sea and river sides and engaged in agriculture and fishing. It is known that the ancient civilizations living on the island was engaged in many different fields such as agriculture, mining and trade. This is an indication that the island has rich and different sources of livelihood.

Living conditions in Cyprus vary according to where we compare the country.
Considering someone living in crowded and big city, life in Cyprus can be considered as easy and simple. Even major cities in Cyprus offers the same ease and simplicity with small and plain cities in Turkey. In 2019, the total population, including those staying temporarily, was identified as 374 thousand. In other words, the total population of the island is even lower than the district of Ataşehir, which is not very populated in Istanbul.

There is almost no traffic problem due to the sparse population of the island. Although most citizens have their personal cars, situations such as traffic jam are rarely encountered.Traffic is intensified during the hours of commuting and returning from work, but in the big cities in our country, this traffic is comfortable enough to be accepted as flowing traffic.This can be considered as another reason for the comfortable living conditions in Cyprus compared to many other countries.

Cost of Living in Cyprus
The cost of living in Cyprus is convinient compared to some cities in Turkey but when compared to some cities, it is not suitable. Still, living in Cyprus is much easier compared to Turkey. Since, country is a Mediterranean country, its climate is soft and even in winter, tempeatures rarely fall below 10 degrees. This means a significant reduction in heating costs. In addition, the rents of the houses are very convenient compared to rents in big cities. Market prices are cheaper than some products in our country, some products are more expensive.

In some companies fees may also be given in pounds. In addition, there is no overtime concept in the country and people have the opportunity to socialize in many different ways after work. There are taverns all over the island and people always spend time at these places. As alcohol prices are much lower than Turkey, people feel much more comfortable while socializing.
